Our school will marching in the ANZAC Day parade on Tuesday 25th of April. We will be a part of the Hastings Valley Community of Schools and assemble near the Thai restaurant in Horton Street. Students wishing to march need to meet teachers at the corner of Horton and William Street at 9.15am. They must be in full school uniform including hat. Parents then collect their children on Town Green near the CWA building before the service begins.

Wayne Richards Oval, Koala St Port Macquarie

Our Cross Country for students in Years 3 to 6 will be held at Wayne Richards Park, Koala St Port Macquarie. Students age divisions are: 8 and 9 - 2km, 10 - 2km, 11 - 3km, 12 and 13 - 3km. A team will be selected from the competitors of each age division to represent the school at the Lower North Coast Cross Country. They may wear their sports clothes, school hat and running shoes. If required , student will bring asthma medication with them. They will need to bring lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, and hat. Students are welvome to bring a picnic blanket or towel to sit on. Parents/Carers are most welcome to attend. Please bring camp chair or picnic rug.

Do you want to know how your children learn literacy and numeracy at school? Are you interested in reinforcing your child’s learning at home? We will be holding two information sessions on the 14 May and the 21 May. Time to be advised. One will explain how students learn to read and write and how you can best help them at home. The second will explain how students learn maths and how you can best help them. If you are interested in attending one or both of these 90-minute sessions, please contact our Administration Office and leave your name and contact details by the 3 May. Our Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction, Mrs Pip Riordan, will then contact you with further details. We look forward to sharing our new syllabi and teaching practices with you.

Senior Choir - Sydney FoCM

Some of our Senior Choir members will represent Westport at the Festival of Choral Music at the Sydney Opera House. Our students will depart Westport Public School on Monday 12th August, perform at the Opera House on Tuesday 13th August and return on Wednesday 14th August. Cost for the event which covers, travel, meals, entertainment and accommodation is roughly $300. Tickets to the Concert will be available for purchase from the Opera House before the date. Tickets sell extremely quickly so to avoid disappointment purchase tickets on the day of sale. More details for students to come....
