As Principal of this great school I believe in the importance of providing a happy, safe and successful primary education for all children at Westport Public School. My belief in our school is shared by the quality team of teachers and support staff at Westport Public School. They believe in their teaching, in their students and that each day of school is an exciting opportunity for learning.
As a student of Westport your child will become part of our belief system of providing a top quality education delivered by professional, highly qualified and committed teaching staff. With enrolments of approximately 300 students, your child will become part of a close, supportive and friendly community that promotes a strong set of values and has the ability to focus individual attention on each child.
The learning environment at Westport is dynamic! We place high expectations on our students and help them to strive to accomplish their goals. Our focus on literacy and numeracy development is concentrated and focused. We want every child to succeed.
As our vision includes catering to the needs and abilities of all children we also offer diverse programs to cater for the academic, social, creative, physical and emotional needs of our students. Your child will have opportunities to participate in these programs and enrich their school experience. The learning in our school is not confined to our classrooms, but spills into all facets of our learning environment, as technology and other resources allow us to experience learning in new and exciting ways. Our belief in technology as an essential life tool drives us to weave digital learning effortlessly into all areas of schooling so your child will develop the necessary skills in information communication.
