National Sorry Day - Mufti Day

National Sorry Day Flyerr

Sorry Day on the 26th of May each year, marks the anniversary of the tabling of the Bringing Them Home report in the Australian Parliament in 1997.

The report detailed the history of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, under laws enacted by past Australian governments.

National Sorry Day is a day to acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations Survivors and reflect on how Australians can all play a part in the healing process for the people and nation.

Our Students may come to school wearing the colours of the Aboriginal flag or Torres Strait Islander flag.
