Closing the Gap

To mark the National Close The Gap day, Mr Weaver had classroom discussions around what Closing the Gap means. Students discussed the gap between the outcomes of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people of Australia in regards to health and education amongst other things.

The students learnt about why the gap exists between Aboriginal and Non Aboriginal people and how Westport PS is supporting the initiative in Closing the Gap in education.
